About Us

Our STRIDE Program is a non profit dedicated to working with kids & adults with disabilities.  Our program was created in 2000 to provide programs and resources for individuals with disabilities.  When the program began, it was formed as a part of the Clark County Association for Handicapped Citizens as the 501c3 nonprofit, which was founded in 1968.  Our organization later changed it's name to STRIDE, Inc.  We are a local non profit with no affiliations to state or national organizations.  This means that we are able to focus all our efforts & funding on a local level.

In October of 2000 there were 9 participants who attended the Halloween Dance at the Clark County Fish & Game Club.  Our office was on the first floor of a bank and we relied on Emmanuel Episcopal Church lending us their van to take trips.  Fast forward 25 years and we have 16,000 square feet of programming space, 4 vans, and we serve 108 families through our Adult Day Training, Speech, OT, & PT therapy, and our Special Olympics program.
